As I gaze upon the horizon where the ocean kisses the sky as far as the eye can see I understood why people thought it was the edge of the world Such a beautiful sight, yet out of reach Maybe that’s why people thought it might be a place where they would fall.

Oksana Brenzovych, a contemporary Ukrainian artist, was born on 1976, in Uzhhorod. In May 2021, she won the prestigious all-Ukrainian award "Woman of the Third Millennium", her works were presented at EXPO-2020 in Dubai and other exhibitions. Oksana is a true follower of the Transcarpathian school of painting, her work is a wonderful expression of the original national flavor of Transcarpathia. Looking at her paintings, you can feel how the paints live and almost spread, how the canvas pulsates and sways. All this tactility of her works gradually returns the possibility of breathing and gives hope for real enjoyment of life. It is such a delicate entry into the real world.
Oksana Brenzovych's artistic journey is deeply interwoven with the rich cultural tapestry of Transcarpathia. Her abstract style, far from literal depictions, captures the essence and spirit of the Carpathian people and their environment. Through her work, Oksana holds up a metaphorical mirror to nature, showcasing poeticized images and fleeting emotional states. Her characteristic wide, restless strokes, decorative spots, and color vibrations convey a sense of life's dynamism and complexity. In her paintings, the use of hot, pure, and decorative colors serves as symbols of an unquenchable thirst for life, a testament to resilience amidst the challenging backdrop of the war in Ukraine. Oksana's art is not just a representation of the external world but a deeper exploration of human experiences, emotions, and the indomitable spirit of her homeland.
